Taking The Hectic Out Of Back To School Meal Solutions With A Fun Chart Tutorial

When school started back up, I was so happy. I love spending time with my children but they were eating us out of house and home. It has been two weeks since school started and there is a whole new kind of hunger. We had to make a trip to Walmart to restock our cupboards after they were depleted by hungry kids and their need for after-school snacks. Jimmy Dean and State Fair has some favorites that my picky teenager will eat. They are meal solutions with a good source of protein that will make our before school rush and after-school hunger a little easier to handle. I had my eye on some breakfast items that I could feed the kids and myself in the morning.

The mornings didn’t use to be so crazy, or least I didn’t feel like it. My favorite memories is of Mi Abuela, she would sit down with me and we would share a cup of coffee. No matter how hectic the day was going to become, she made sure to have that moment either with me or by herself. So I plan to sip my coffee and enjoy these Jimmy Dean croissants, which is a satisfying sandwich to have during my calm moment. Our littlest girl wanted to share Corndogs with her big sisters when they got home from school. When I cook these hot dogs the smell of honey-sweetened cornbread is in the air. Of course I have to kick up their dipping sauces up a notch or two. Everybody has their own flavor favorites to dip their corn dogs into…

  • Ketchup
  • Ketchup with Green Salsa
  • Mustard
  • Mustard with Sweet Relish

You can find State Fair Corn Dogs in the freezer section at Walmart. The kids enjoy their after school snack and it seems to calm things down a bit. We can take a breath, start homework and talk about our day with each other. This is special to me. My mother worked and couldn’t do this. But Mi Abuela knew how to calm things and take the hectic out of the moment. But sometimes we need a little motivation and there is something about putting stickers on a check list to get kids motivated. Here is fun back-to-school chart to get your kids motivated.
